How is the best way to fasten key-fobs?
You know those things you have on your keyring what should I use to tie it together. I’m not making many of these and I want something cheap and easy enough to find.
Are you wanting a way to attach the “fobs” to the “rings” of the keyrings?? … Or what?
There are various ways to attach fobs to rings, but the easiest way might depend on the material the fob is made from and its shape. In other words, does the fob have a loop on it anywhere, or could an eye pin or eye screw be put into it securely, or could wire be wrapped around it to create a loop, etc?
If so, then you could use a “jump ring” which is a loop of wire with a break in it to attach the two parts, or a series of jump rings for more length (or even a chain). For something that will be stressed like this, you might want to go with a double jump ring (“split ring”) instead.
Or depending on the material, you could drill a hole all the way through the fob (usually top to bottom), then run a “head pin” through it (put a bead or something on the head pin before threading it though if the hole is too large for the head of the head pin)…then bend the top of the head pin’s shank into a loop. You can attach that loop to the ring of the keyring, or you can put a jump ring or chain between the two.
You could also use cording of various types.
